Entwined

Needle, thread and paper have been a vital part of my artistic journey. Thus, came about this work entwined with paper, fabric and clay. The inspiration came when I picked up these discarded deckle edge strips of handmade paper from the Institute in Pune. I couldn’t resist wanting to create something unique with them. The consequence was a silent but powerful, integrated tapestry of materials. Cotton, jute, paper, ceramic coils and needles come together to express a harmonious union.
