Wabi-Sabi is the Japanese way of life which embraces and celebrates imperfections. An appreciation of beauty in simplicity. A peaceful acceptance of the natural cycle of growth and decay. During the course of a significant project, I came across these dried teakwood leaves – a treasure I have cherished for over a year. The rice paper work is extremely delicate, almost as if every little burn can hurt you but with all these little burns or experiences, they seem to create a beautiful array of life.
