Windows is a collaborative endavour by ceramic artist Ruby Junjhunwala and lens based artist Shraddha Borawake. Godhadi, a traditional Indian quilt essentially hand stitched by women using old sarees is used as a cultural trope to question the traditional roles of women in globalized India.

The collaboration explores how two mediums can meet and co-exist in a frame. Shraddha has retouched and presented the original photographic series to specifically engage in the motion, composition and flow of the godhadi, while Ruby has challenged the plasticity of clay, by emulating the gentle flow of the fabric.

The works stand as an honest display using creative expression where each individual frame holds a journey.
